New York Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson made his season debut off the bench in Friday night's 114-113 win against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 26-year-old recorded six points and four rebounds in 12 minutes of action.

Robinson had been sidelined since injuring his left ankle in last season's playoff series against the Indiana Pacers. The injury required surgery, his second procedure on that ankle.

Robinson dealt with a variety of injuries last season, averaging 5.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in just 31 contests with the Knicks. He led the Association with 4.6 offensive rebounds per game in 2023-24.

The Knicks have been short on big man depth this season after losing Isaiah Hartenstein to the Oklahoma City Thunder in free agency last offseason.

They brought in Ariel Huporti over the offseason and converted his two-way contract to a standard NBA deal in November. The German big man is expected to miss the next four-to-six weeks after tearing his meniscus in his first NBA start Wednesday.

The Knicks improved to 39-20 and sit third in the East.
