Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo has been ruled out for at least three more weeks with a left great toe injury, the team announced Friday.

The 27-year-old was hurt during a 116-115 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 15.

An MRI conducted shortly afterward showed a Grade 3 toe sprain, and a more recent exam confirmed a stable turf toe injury involving a partial tear of the plantar ligament. DiVincenzo doesn't require surgery and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

This is DiVincenzo's first season in Minnesota after being acquired from the New York Knicks as part of the Karl-Anthony Towns deal.

The former Villanova Wildcat averaged 11 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 40 contests. After coming off the bench for most of the season, DiVincenzo was inserted into the starting lineup in early January. Over the next six games, DiVincenzo averaged 17.5 points - the second-highest mark on the team - and the Timberwolves went 4-2.

Minnesota is 2-2 in the four games since DiVincenzo's injury and sits eighth in the West.
