The Atlanta Hawks have been awarded the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft after winning the draft lottery Sunday.

This is the first time the Hawks have won the lottery. They had a 3% chance of earning the top selection. Atlanta hasn't selected first in the draft since 1975, when it picked David Thompson.

The Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, and Detroit Pistons round out the draft's top five selections.

Here are the results for picks 1-14:

Pick Team
1 Hawks
2 Wizards
3 Rockets (via Nets)
4 Spurs
5 Pistons
6 Hornets
7 Trail Blazers
8 Spurs (via Raptors)
9 Grizzlies
10 Jazz
11 Bulls
12 Thunder (via Rockets)
13 Kings
14 Trail Blazers (via Warriors)

The Pistons are the most notable faller. Detroit had the league's worst record for a second straight season, giving it the joint-highest odds - shared with the Wizards - at 14% to receive the first overall selection.

This is the sixth straight season in which the team with the NBA's worst record didn't get the No. 1 pick.

The Spurs can pair two top-10 picks with Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama. San Antonio is also picking eighth, which it acquired from the Toronto Raptors in the Jakob Poeltl deal.

France could get its second straight first overall pick, with Zaccharie Risacher and Alexandre Sarr at the top of many draft boards.

The 2024 draft will again be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The event is changing to a two-day format this year, with Round 1 taking place on June 26 and Round 2 on June 27.
