Some good news for Houston Rockets fans. Head coach Mike D'Antoni said superstar James Harden can return from his hamstring injury as soon as Thursday, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

Harden was injured late in the fourth quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers on New Year's Eve. He has missed six games since, with the Rockets going 4-2 across that span.

If Harden is expected to return Thursday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, it means he will miss a seventh game in a row Monday night, when the Rockets take on the L.A. Clippers.

Harden is one of the top MVP candidates halfway through the NBA season, averaging a career-high 32.2 points and 9.1 assists.
