Chicago White Sox catcher Kyle Teel is expected to miss four-to-six weeks with a right hamstring strain sustained while playing for Team Italy at the World Baseball Classic, reports MLB.com's Scott Merkin.
Teel injured his hamstring legging out a double in the sixth inning of Italy's 8-6 upset win over the United States on Tuesday.

Teel, who also homered in the second inning, will be replaced by Boston Red Sox utility player Mickey Gasper on Italy's roster, according to Audacy Sports' Rob Bradford.
Teel, 24, was in line to be the White Sox starting catcher to open the 2026 campaign.
