The Athletics and right-hander Aaron Civale have agreed to a one-year, $6-million contract, sources told Jeff Passan of ESPN.
Civale can make an additional $1.5 million through incentives, according to Passan.
The 30-year-old authored a 4.85 ERA with 1.26 WHIP and 7.8 K/9 over 102 innings (18 starts) between the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Cubs last season.
Civale reportedly joins a 2026 rotation that is led by Luis Severino and Jeffrey Springs.
The seven-year veteran has also pitched for the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays during his MLB career.
