Pirates' Konnor Griffin named MLB's top prospect

Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Konnor Griffin was named the No. 1 prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline on Friday.
Griffin topped the list after an impressive 2025 season where he slashed .333/.415/.527 with 21 home runs, 94 RBIs, and 65 steals across three minor-league levels.
The Mississippi native was selected ninth overall by the Pirates in the 2024 MLB Draft.
MLB Pipeline's top five prospects for 2026 are all shortstops.
