The Texas Rangers non-tendered outfielder Adolis García ahead of Friday's deadline, the team announced.

Garcia was projected to earn $12.1 million in arbitration, according to MLB Trade Rumors.

The 32-year-old slashed .227/.271/.394 with 19 home runs, 75 RBIs, and 13 steals in 135 games last season.

The two-time All-Star hit 141 homers and 458 RBIs while stealing 74 bases and winning a Gold Glove during his six seasons with the Rangers.

He was also named ALCS MVP in 2023 after slashing .357/.400/.893 with five homers and 15 RBIs in seven games against the Houston Astros. The Rangers went on to win the World Series that year.

Texas also non-tendered catcher Jonah Heim as well as right-handers Jacob Webb and Josh Sborz. Heim and Sborz were part of the team's 2023 World Series squad.

"I'd like to express the club's sincere appreciation for the efforts of each of the four players included in today's announcement," Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young said in a statement. "Regardless of what happens moving forward, Adolis, Jonah, and Josh will always be remembered for their contributions to the first World Series title in franchise history. Those memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Rangers fans. We are grateful for their time in Texas and the mark they have left on this franchise."
