Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter George Springer left Game 3 of the World Series after suffering an injury on a swing in the seventh inning.

Manager John Schneider said postgame that Springer is dealing with right side discomfort. Schneider added that Springer already received an MRI, and the team is waiting for the results.

"It sucks," Schneider said. "He's obviously a huge part of our lineup. Glad I got him out when I did, and hopefully it didn't make anything worse, but we'll see how he is tomorrow."

Springer was replaced by Ty France, who struck out.

Springer, who owns an .884 OPS with 10 extra-base hits this postseason, was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts before departing.
