X-rays on Duran were negative, the team announced. He'll be evaluated further Saturday.
Duran was Philadelphia's marquee acquisition at the trade deadline, with the Phillies sending prospects Eduardo Tait and Mick Abel to the Minnesota Twins for the 27-year-old.
The right-hander hasn't given up a run in four innings since joining the club. Duran entered Friday sporting a 1.86 ERA with 56 strikeouts in 53.1 innings on the season.
Veteran David Robertson entered the game in relief of Duran to close out a 6-2 Phillies victory.
Robertson, Matt Strahm, Orion Kerkering, and Tanner Banks would be among the candidates to save games if Duran misses extended time.
