Report: Nationals, Bell agree to 1-year, $6M deal
The Washington Nationals agreed to a one-year, $6-million deal with first baseman Josh Bell, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman.
Bell is expected to slot in as the Nationals' designated hitter, according to The Washington Post's Andrew Golden.
Washington acquired another first baseman, Nathaniel Lowe, from the Texas Rangers in a trade earlier in December.

This will be Bell's second stint with the Nationals after the 32-year-old played for them during the 2021 and 2022 campaigns.
The Texan was productive for Washington in 2021, hitting 27 home runs with an .823 OPS (124 OPS+).
Bell split last season between the Miami Marlins and Arizona Diamondbacks, slashing .249/.319/.405 with 19 home runs and 71 RBIs in 145 games.
