Roberts: Ohtani to play Game 3 after dislocating shoulder
Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Shohei Ohtani will play in Game 3 of the World Series after suffering a shoulder subluxation in the previous contest, manager Dave Roberts told ESPN's Karl Ravech on Sunday.
Roberts added that Ohtani is "in a great spot" after he left Saturday's Game 2 against the New York Yankees in visible pain.
While the final decision on his availability could change, Ohtani is doing "shockingly well," according to Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times.
The injury occurred during the seventh inning of the Dodgers' 4-2 victory. Ohtani slid awkwardly into second base on a steal attempt and stayed down after being called out on the play.

Ohtani has recorded one hit and a run scored in the World Series.
The Japanese phenom posted a gaudy 1.036 OPS (190 OPS+) during the regular season while slugging 54 home runs and stealing 59 bases.
The Dodgers will look to take a commanding 3-0 series lead when Game 3 gets underway on Monday at 8:08 p.m. ET in New York.
