The New York Yankees are keeping a level head after losing Game 1 of the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers in dramatic fashion.

"We know we have another game tomorrow, I think what it comes down to," said Aaron Judge on his club's ability to turn the page, per SNY.

"Losing a game, the first one like that, we have another chance to even it up before we head back to the Bronx."

The Yankees manufactured a run to take a 3-2 lead in the top of the 10th inning. Jazz Chisholm Jr. stole second and third base to set up an RBI ground out from shortstop Anthony Volpe.

But things unraveled for the Yankees in the bottom half of the inning.

New York brought in Nestor Cortes to face Shohei Ohtani with runners on first and second. After inducing a flyout, he intentionally walked Mookie Betts to load the bases ahead of Freddie Freeman's eventual walk-off grand slam.

"It was a great game," Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo said, per SNY.

"We talked about it afterwards. It (was) a great opening act to the World Series, and we lost. You come back tomorrow and you have a chance to split and go home with a 1-1 split."

History does not favor the Yankees; 23 of the 29 teams that have taken World Series Game 1 since 1995 have won the championship, according to MLB.com's Anthony Castrovince.

New York will send Carlos Rodón to the mound opposite Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2 looking to even things up.

First pitch is set for Saturday at 8:08 p.m. ET.
