The Polar Bear will be at the Home Run Derby.

New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso threw his name into the hat for the Midsummer Classic's home-run competition, MLB announced on Sunday.

The two-time Home Run Derby champion joins Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson and Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm as participants, with more to be named before the event takes place.

Alonso last won the event in 2021 and also claimed the 2019 crown.

The slugger entered last season's event as the No. 2 seed but lost to Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners in the first round.

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the reigning champion.
