Dodgers' bullpen finally lets Cubs reach base

The bullpen of the Los Angeles Dodgers has been downright nasty in the National League Championship Series against the Chicago Cubs, but it finally allowed a runner to reach base Sunday night.

In the ninth inning of Game 2, Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen hit Anthony Rizzo with a pitch. That was the first baserunner L.A.'s bullpen allowed in the entire series. Jansen eventually stranded Rizzo at first.

The Dodgers' bullpen had retired 22 straight hitters before the hit-by-pitch.

Bullpen during streak

PITCHER IP H BB SO
Tony Cingrani 0.1 0 0 0
Kenta Maeda 1 0 0 0
Brandon Morrow 2.2 0 0 3
Tony Watson 1.1 0 0 0
Josh Fields 0.2 0 0 0
Kenley Jansen 1.2 0 0 5

During the regular season, their 'pen led the NL in ERA (3.38), wins (32), strikeouts (637), and WHIP (1.15).
