Pimblett accepts Jake Paul's $1M sparring challenge under condition

UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett has accepted a $1-million sparring challenge from Jake Paul, but he won't travel ahead of his Dec. 10 fight.

"I'm not going to Puerto Rico next week when I'm fighting next Saturday, Pimblett said in a video response posted by ESPN's Marc Raimondi. "If you want to come and spar, get to the (UFC Performance Institute) next week. As I said, I'll fight Saturday, I'll chill Sunday, and I'll beat you up Monday. Offer's there."

Pimblett's response comes after he criticized the YouTube star's boxing endeavor, claiming some results appeared to be pre-determined.

"They are a gang of idiots," Pimblett told "Pub Talk" when asked about the YouTube boxing scene. "I'll give Jake Paul his due now, he's training (so) much that he probably could beat professional boxers. He's got unlimited funds and he hasn't got to do anything else."

Pimblett added, "Paul is actually not that bad now, even though I think his fights are fixed," Pimblett added. He then pointed to Paul's decision victory over MMA legend Anderson Silva as an example of fights being pre-determined.

Paul responded to Pimblett's claim by challenging "The Baddy" to five three-minute rounds of boxing. If Pimblett wins, he'll receive $1 million. If Paul wins, the English MMA star wil have to join Paul's United Fighters Association and help recruit fighters in the U.K.

Paul sports a 6-0 record as a professional boxer with four knockouts. Following his win over Silva last month, Paul called out current free-agent combat fighter Nate Diaz.

Meanwhile, Pimblett's dance card is currently filled with a co-main event match at UFC 282 against Jared Gordon. Pimblett is 3-0 since joining the UFC, with finishes in each of his fights, including a submission victory over Jordan Leavitt at a Fight Night event in July.
