NHL Game Summary - NY Rangers at San Jose

San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tomas Hertl scored four goals to lead the San Jose Sharks to a 9-2 thrashing of the New York Rangers on Tuesday.

Hertl became the first player in NHL history to score six goals over his first three career games.

Justin Braun, Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Matthew Nieto, Logan Couture and Dan Boyle also tallied for the Sharks, who improved to 3-0 this season. Antti Niemi made 18 saves in the win.

Brad Richards and Derek Dorsett each scored for the Rangers. Henrik Lundqvist was pulled after giving up four goals on 26 shots and his replacement, Martin Biron, was even worse, allowing five goals on 21 shots.
