Orioles' Bradish, Means set to return this week from IL
The Baltimore Orioles' starting rotation is set to receive a major boost.
Right-hander Kyle Bradish and left-hander John Means are both slated to be activated later this week, Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Monday, according to Jake Rill of MLB.com.
Baltimore has yet to announce starters past Wednesday.
The 27-year-old Bradish, who finished fourth in AL Cy Young voting last season, has yet to pitch in 2024 after suffering a UCL sprain in February.
Means, 31, hasn't seen any major-league action this year due to a forearm strain. The 2019 All-Star has logged a combined 31 2/3 innings (six starts) between 2022-23 due to multiple major injuries, including a UCL tear that resulted in Tommy John surgery.
The Orioles also activated reliever Cionel Pérez from the injured list and optioned right-hander Dillon Tate.
