Chris Hemsworth will undergo a big physical transformation to portray Hulk Hogan in an upcoming Netflix movie about the WWE legend.

The 36-year-old Australian actor spoke about his preparation for the biopic in an interview with Total Film, explaining that it will require him to put on more weight than he did for his role as Thor in the Avengers movies.

"This movie is going to be a really fun project," Hemsworth said, according to Digital Spy's Louise McCreesh. "As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical. I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor.

"There is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude. I will also have to do a deep dive into the rabbit hole of the wrestling world, which I'm really looking forward to doing."

The biopic will follow the rise of Hogan and Hulkamania, beginning with Hogan's stint on the Florida wrestling circuit in the 1970s, according to Tony Sokol of Screen Rant. The wrestler will be a consultant on the film, which was still in the scripting stage as of April.
