Knox County, Tennessee, mayor Glenn Jacobs, also known as the WWE legend Kane, condemned the actions of the former Minneapolis police officer involved in the death of George Floyd.

In a tweet posted Saturday, Jacobs used his wrestling background to explain why it's unjustifiable that Derek Chauvin kneeled on Floyd's neck for over eight minutes.

"To anyone who still thinks this is in any way justifiable: there's a reason you release a chokehold when your opponent taps out," Jacobs tweeted. "It's because you don't want to kill them! So what does it mean if you refuse to release it?"

Jacobs also expressed concern over the military being brought in to help quell unrest.

Chauvin was arrested Friday and charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
