The Rock to receive MTV's Generation Award

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been announced as the latest recipient of MTV's Generation Award.
The former WWE champion will be presented with the honor at the 2019 MTV Movie and Television Awards, airing June 17 at 9 p.m. ET.
The Generation Award celebrates actors whose contributions to film and television have made them household names. Past recipients include Chris Pratt, Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Downey Jr., and Mark Wahlberg.
WWE is also up for two awards, with Roman Reigns and the WrestleMania 35 triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair nominated in different categories.
