Report: Chiellini to join LAFC after ending illustrious Juventus career

Giorgio Chiellini will move to the United States for the final phase of his legendary career.

After leaving Juventus, the Italian defender is now on the verge of joining Major League Soccer club Los Angeles FC, according to The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano.

Chiellini is expected to finalize the move this week while in London for Italy's meeting with Argentina. He will then link up with his new team in Los Angeles in the coming weeks, Romano adds.

The 37-year-old, who joined Juventus in 2004, helped the Bianconeri lift nine Serie A titles and played an important role in Italy's Euro 2020 win last year.

Chiellini will end his international career after the 2022 Finalissima on Wednesday.

LAFC lead the MLS Western Conference standings with 29 points after 14 games.
