Desire Doue added another huge goal to his fledgling career Saturday as Paris Saint-Germain beat Bayern Munich 2-0 in a hard-fought Club World Cup quarterfinal.

Doue struck a near-post finish from the edge of the area in the 78th minute. Ousmane Dembele strengthened his case to win the Ballon d'Or when he smashed in PSG's second tally in the 96th minute.

Doue, who is just 20, scored the goal that secured the 2024-25 Ligue 1 title. He also scored twice and assisted once in his side's 5-0 rout of Inter Milan in the Champions League final in May.

Dembele scored 29 times and provided 12 assists across Ligue 1 and Champions League play in the 2024-25 campaign.

PSG will face Real Madrid in the final four.

Paris Saint-Germain finished the game with nine men following red cards for Willian Pacho (in the 82nd minute) and Lucas Hernandez (92nd minute). Pacho was punished for a high tackle on Leon Goretzka and Hernandez was sent off shortly after joining the game for elbowing Raphael Guerreiro.

"It was a fight today. As a player, it is always difficult to go out of a game. We are really sad for Pacho and Lucas," Doue said to DAZN post-match, according to BBC Sport. "But it is part of the game and we need to be good in the next game to win it."

Bayern Munich were denied a penalty in the closing moments when the referee overturned his decision after consulting the pitchside monitor. The Bavarians also had two goals ruled out after Dayot Upamecano and Harry Kane scored from offside positions.

Gianluigi Donnarumma and Manuel Neuer both stepped up for their sides with some important saves over the course of the game, but Dembele's late strike relieved huge pressure on PSG after Bayern threw everything forward in search of an equalizer. Thomas Muller was brought on in the 80th minute but couldn't provide a decisive moment before the final whistle ended his legendary 25-year stay with Bayern Munich.

The match in Atlanta was soured by what appeared to be a serious injury for young Bayern playmaker Jamal Musiala.
