Marcus Thuram has been ruled out of France's UEFA Nations League quarter-final games against Croatia with an ankle injury, the team's medical staff confirmed on Monday.
Thuram, capped 29 times with two goals scored, was the only one of Didier Deschamps' 24 players called up for this week's games to miss Monday's open training session at Clairefontaine, outside Paris.
The 27-year-old Inter Milan forward scored twice against Feyenoord in the Champions League before being substituted around the hour in both games.
He also played for the Italian club on Sunday in a 2-0 win against Atalanta in Serie A.
The French staff did not specify whether he would be replaced.
France play Croatia in Split on Thursday with the second leg at home on Sunday.
