Horschel: LIV players 'brainwashed' into thinking they can rejoin PGA TOUR
Billy Horschel believes that any LIV Golf members who think they'll be able to rejoin the PGA TOUR are in for a harsh awakening.
"I've said to some of the guys personally, I think they've been brainwashed," Horschel said Wednesday at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, according to Golf.com's Jack Hirsh. "The way they feel so adamant that they're going to be back on the PGA TOUR."
On Tuesday, a federal judge denied a temporary restraining order for three LIV players - Hudson Swafford, Talor Gooch, and Matt Jones - to participate in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Those three are part of a group of 11 LIV members who have filed an antitrust suit against the PGA TOUR.
"I've had some of (the LIV golfers) tell me, 'I'll see you on TOUR again.' I said, 'No, you won't,'" Horschel said.
The PGA TOUR suspended all players who fled for LIV, although many of the LIV commits resigned from the TOUR.
Horschel, the World No. 15 and a seven-time winner on TOUR, characterized a lot of LIV players as liars and hypocrites in July.
