Any issues Brooks Koepka had with Patrick Reed have officially been put to bed.

Koepka, a four-time major champion who made headlines for his comments about Reed's penalty incident in the Bahamas last year, joined his coach, Claude Harmon III, on Instagram Live on Wednesday for a wide-ranging conversation that included his thoughts on the 2018 Masters champion.

"That's one thing that's been misconstrued," Koepka said. "Just because I said I thought (Reed) cheated. But at the same time, that's the same guy I'd love to play Ryder Cup matches with. People are obviously going to give him shit, but I could care less."

After rising to Ryder Cup fame with brilliant performances early in his career, Reed has been a lightning rod for controversy at team events since the 2018 edition in Paris. The latest incident included his caddie, Kessler Karain, getting banned from the final day of the Presidents Cup in December due to an altercation with a fan.

Should a pairing with Reed happen at the 2020 Ryder Cup in September, Koepka is more than prepared to keep the caddies out of any hostile situations.

"If people got in his face, I'll be right there," Koepka said. "He wouldn't need Kessler."
