Tiger skipping hometown Honda Classic for 2nd consecutive year
Tiger Woods has elected to skip next week's Honda Classic - a tournament that takes place 30 minutes south of his residence in Jupiter, Florida - for the second straight year.

Woods has played in the Honda Classic five times during his career. His best finish, a tie for 12th, came in his last appearance in 2018.
With The Players Championship moving to March, the Florida swing has become considerably more congested. The Arnold Palmer Invitational, which Tiger has won eight times, follows the Honda Classic in the lead-up to The Players.
If he replicates his 2019 schedule, Woods can be expected to play at Bay Hill and TPC Sawgrass in consecutive weeks starting on Feb. 27. His status for the WGC-Match Play remains unknown, but that would likely be his final start before heading to Augusta to defend his Masters title.
World No. 2 Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler will be at the Honda Classic. Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas are among other top players electing to skip the event.
