Matt Kuchar holds a two-shot advantage over a trio of players, and a red-hot Adam Scott is among four golfers sitting three shots back through the second round of the Genesis Invitational.

Kuchar fired a 2-under 69 to sit atop the leaderboard at 9-under for the tournament. Rory McIlroy, Harold Varner III, and Wyndham Clark are tied for second.

Scott carded the low round of the day, shooting a blistering 7-under 64. He moved to 6-under through two rounds, and he's tied for fifth with Sung Kang, Vaughn Taylor, and Russell Henley.

Tiger Woods shot an up-and-down 2-over 73 for an even-par score through the second round. He sits just one stroke above the projected cut line.
