Tiger's son roasted JT at Augusta: 'Look, it's the guy who can't putt'
Tiger Woods' trash-talk game is widely regarded as one of the best on the PGA Tour. And according to Justin Thomas, Tiger's son, Charlie, is already following in his father's footsteps.
Thomas told a story on the "No Laying Up" podcast about an interaction he had with Charlie at this year's Masters. Thomas had finished his final round and bumped into Tiger's family in the clubhouse.
"I just went over to say hey to them and what's up to Charlie, and I just kind of saw him and said, 'What's up, dude?'" Thomas recalled. "And (Charlie) just looks at me and says, 'Oh, hey, look, it's the guy who can't putt.'"
Thomas had signed for a 2-under 70 at the time of the roasting.
"The apple definitely doesn't fall far from the tree there. (Charlie) is identical to Tiger and just such a little smart aleck," Thomas said.
However, the 10-year-old Charlie wasn't necessarily wrong about Thomas' putting, as he ranked 144th in strokes gained: putting last season. Thomas blamed spending too much time practicing and trying to "become perfect" while rehabbing his wrist injury for his struggles on the greens.
