Two Patricks sit atop the Hero World Challenge after Round 1, as Patrick Reed and Patrick Cantlay shot 7-under 65 to share a three-shot lead Thursday.

Cantlay, a native of California, is donating $500 for every birdie he makes this week to help recent wildfire relief efforts in his home state. He carded seven birdies during his bogey-free performance.

Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson sit three behind the leaders after shooting 68 at Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas.

Defending champion Rickie Fowler got off to a slow start, as his even-par round puts him well back of the leaders.

It was a disappointing day for tournament host Tiger Woods, who shot a 1-over 73 to sit in a tie for 16th in the 18-man field.

Round 2 begins Friday at 11:15 a.m. ET.
