Koepka holds off Woods to add PGA Championship to trophy case
Brooks Koepka is on top of the golfing world once again, as the two-time defending U.S. Open winner added the PGA Championship to his trophy case with a two-shot win over Tiger Woods on Sunday.
Koepka began the day with a two-stroke lead and held off a vintage charge from Woods and Adam Scott with his second straight 66. With the win, Koepka claimed his third major championship in his last six starts.

After back-to-back bogeys on the fourth and fifth holes, Koepka closed the opening stretch with three straight birdies and added two more on the way home to claim the title. His total score of 264 ties the 72-hole record in major championship history.
While Koepka may not receive the fanfare of other top players on Tour, his record in major championships continues to amaze. The 28-year-old now has three wins, eight top 10s, and only two missed cuts in 20 career major starts.
Koepka may get the winner's check and the trophy, but it was Woods who owned the day with a run that evoked memories from his peak years on Tour. His round of 6-under 64 represents his lowest-ever final-round score in a major championship; a remarkable stat considering he has won 14 of golf's biggest events.
Woods was one shot back of the lead at numerous points on the back nine, but simply ran out of holes to catch Koepka after beginning the final round four strokes back.
