Si Woo Kim tosses wedge into water en route to quadruple-bogey 8

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports

Just two weeks after winning the PGA Tour's flagship event at Sawgrass, the golf gods have humbled Si Woo Kim at Colonial.

Kim was 1-under par in his round Friday, when he approached Colonial's par-4 ninth hole. The South Korean found the left fairway sand trap off the tee, then went over the putting surface into the green-side bunker with his second shot.

It only got worse from there.

The 21-year-old shanked a bunker shot into the water hazard and followed it up by hitting one more ball into the pond, before finally finding the green with his seventh shot.

While walking around the pond to play his eight, Kim added one more item to the hazard, tossing his wedge into the water.

He would make the 14-foot quadruple-bogey putt for an eight, but is now without a wedge for the back nine.
