On Friday night the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 in overtime. Sabres defenseman Christian Ehrhoff scored the game winner, beating Leafs goaltender James Reimer with what appeared to be a run-of-the-mill wrist-shot from the point.
Well as it turns out: Ehrhoff's game-winning snap-shot may have snuck through the small gap between Leafs defenseman Carl Gunnarsson's skate blade, and his boot. This is a one in a million shot, somewhat akin to what Luke Skywalker pulled off when he destroyed the Death Star (well, either that or a phenomenal optical illusion):
