Marc Bergevin is leaving his senior advisor role with the Los Angeles Kings to join the Buffalo Sabres as associate general manager, sources told The Athletic's Matthew Fairburn.

Buffalo has shaken up its front office with a handful of moves this past week. The Sabres fired general manager Kevyn Adams on Monday and replaced him with Jarmo Kekalainen, then the latter fired associate GM Jason Karmanos on Saturday.

Bergevin has held an executive role with the Kings since 2022. He was the Montreal Canadiens GM from 2012-2021 before moving to Hollywood, and also has front-office experience with the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Sabres won their fifth consecutive game Saturday, but have missed the playoffs for an NHL-record 14 consecutive seasons.
