Maple Leafs activate Woll after conditioning stint
The Toronto Maple Leafs activated goaltender Joseph Woll to their roster on Friday after a two-game conditioning stint with the AHL Marlies.
Woll returned from a month-long personal absence on Oct. 24 and has been ramping up on-ice activity since. Toronto has yet to announce who will start Saturday's clash against the Chicago Blackhawks, but Woll said he's ready whenever called upon, per TSN's Mark Masters.
The Maple Leafs are without Anthony Stolarz due to injury. If Woll starts Saturday, Dennis Hildeby will likely back him up.
Toronto ranks 26th this season with an .877 save percentage.
Woll went 27-14-1 last campaign with a .909 save percentage in a career-high 42 games, then posted a .886 clip in seven playoff contests against the Florida Panthers.
The Maple Leafs have lost four straight games.
