Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele's status for Saturday's Game 6 against the Dallas Stars is undetermined following the death of his father, Brad, general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff announced.
Head coach Scott Arniel will meet with media at 5:30 p.m. ET to update Scheifele's availability for the must-win game.
Scheifele has registered 10 points in 10 games this postseason, including a goal and an assist in Winnipeg's critical Game 5 victory on home ice. He missed Games 6 and 7 of the first round due to injury.
The 32-year-old notched a career-high 87 points in the regular season.
Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET. Winnipeg trails its series with the Stars 3-2.
