The Winnipeg Jets signed forward Vladislav Namestnikov to a two-year contract extension worth $3 million per season on Saturday.

Namestnikov was scheduled for unrestricted free agency this summer, and his new deal features a small raise from the $2 million he's earned the past two campaigns.

The Jets acquired Namestnikov ahead of the 2023 trade deadline. He's recorded 76 points in 150 games with Winnipeg, including 10 goals and 19 assists this season.

The 32-year-old has suited up for seven different franchises since being a first-round pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2011.

Namestnikov was one of several key Jets playing on expiring contracts: Nikolaj Ehlers, Alex Iafallo, Neal Pionk, and Mason Appleton are all set to be free agents this summer.

Winnipeg is projected to have nearly $40 million in cap space this offseason, but the team only has 14 players signed beyond the 2024-25 campaign.
