Ottawa Senators forward Josh Norris is expected to miss a few weeks with a mid-body injury, head coach Travis Green announced Monday, according to TSN 1200.

Norris exited with 5 minutes remaining in the third period of Saturday's tilt with the Minnesota Wild after taking hits from Jakub Lauko and Declan Chisholm.

He recorded a shorthanded goal - which also stood as the game-winner in the 6-0 thrashing - and two shots in 16:34 minutes of ice time before departing.

Ottawa recalled forward Cole Reinhardt from the AHL on Sunday morning.

Norris ranks second on the Senators with 19 goals and sixth with 31 points in 50 games so far this campaign. He missed two games in January with an upper-body injury.

The 25-year-old was hampered by a shoulder ailment in his previous two campaigns and has undergone three surgeries since 2019. Norris was limited to eight games in 2022-23 and 50 contests last campaign.

The Senators have four games remaining before the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, beginning with Monday's showdown with the Nashville Predators.

Ottawa netminder Linus Ullmark, who hasn't played since Dec. 22 because of a back injury, is projected to back up Anton Forsberg.
