Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert started on Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles just days after undergoing surgery on his left hand.

Herbert came out with a padded glove for extra protection. He was listed as questionable for the contest and was a limited participant in every practice throughout the week.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury during the Chargers' Week 13 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Trey Lance replaced him for a few plays, but Herbert was able to return and finish the contest.

Herbert has started every game in 2025, leading Los Angeles to an 8-4 record heading into Monday night. He came in with 2,842 passing yards with 21 touchdowns and 10 interceptions this season.
