The Buffalo Bills are signing All-Pro cornerback Taron Johnson to a three-year, $31-million extension, his agent told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The deal will make Johnson the highest-paid nickel cornerback in the NFL, adds Schefter. The title had been held by the Colts' Kenny Moore, who returned to Indianapolis on a three-year, $30-million deal Tuesday.

Johnson was named a second-team All-Pro for the first time in his career last season. He's produced 335 tackles, 39 pass defenses, four interceptions, and seven sacks in his six seasons since being taken in the fourth round by Buffalo.

The Bills' secondary is undergoing a major makeover ahead of the 2024 season with cornerback Tre'Davious White and safety Jordan Poyer released and safety Micah Hyde a free agent.
