New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson will undergo an MRI after suffering a non-contact right knee injury in Friday's 24-21 preseason victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, according to head coach Robert Saleh.

Saleh noted that Wilson's ACL is "supposed to be intact" based on initial tests, but he will await the MRI to confirm, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Early results indicate that the signal-caller may have injured his PCL, the same injury he dealt with last season, a source told ESPN's Rich Cimini.

Wilson headed to the locker room in the first quarter after going down awkwardly on a scramble. He didn't return.

The 23-year-old signal-caller, who missed four games last season due to a knee injury, received compliments from Saleh for his work in the weight room upon his arrival to the Jets' offseason program.

Wilson had attempted five passes before his exit, with one being intercepted. Mike White came in to replace him, completing 10-of-20 passes for 98 yards. Chris Streveler finished the contest and threw two touchdowns, including the game-winning score to Calvin Jackson with five seconds remaining.

If Wilson needs to miss regular-season action, New York will likely turn to veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, who did not suit up Friday. Flacco - who's started five games for New York over the past two seasons but has yet to notch a victory - has tossed nine touchdowns to three interceptions as a member of the Jets.

Drafted second overall in the 2021 draft, Wilson won three of his 13 starts as a rookie and threw for nine touchdowns to 11 picks.
