Free-agent linebacker Bobby Wagner is visiting the Los Angeles Rams, and both parties share interest in striking an agreement, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Wagner hit the open market on March 12 after the Seattle Seahawks released him following a decorated 10-year run. The 31-year-old was still among the best inside linebackers in the NFL at the end of his Seattle tenure, but the Seahawks deemed his $20.35-million cap hit too expensive.

Wagner has been a tackling machine since entering the NFL in 2012, setting a career high with 170 in 2021. The eight-time Pro Bowler has eclipsed 100 tackles in every season of his career while serving as the centerpiece of Seattle's defense.

The Rams have a hole in their starting lineup at linebacker next to Ernest Jones, as Troy Reeder became a free agent after the 2021 season.

Los Angeles could also be looking to add another impact defender after losing outside linebacker Von Miller to the Buffalo Bills earlier in free agency.

The Dallas Cowboys are among the other teams that have been loosely linked to Wagner, but Dallas is unlikely to sign him, according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.
