Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski made sure to emphasize his dedication to studying film Wednesday after telling Peyton and Eli Manning on Monday Night Football that he doesn't watch any.

"I actually watch tons of film. An overload of film. I will probably blame (Bucs PR director) Nelson (Luis) over there. He asked me eight times to go on the show. I told him, 'It's not a good idea.' They always get me in that type of silly atmosphere and that's what happened," Gronkowski said in a light-hearted manner, according to ESPN's Jenna Laine.

Bruce Arians jokingly threatened to revoke Gronkowski's veteran days off after the head coach's news conference Wednesday.

The 32-year-old tight end bantered with the Manning brothers on Monday's broadcast, telling them that he doesn't watch film and just runs by defenders when he's on the field. He also said that he leans on Tom Brady for scouting reports on the opposing team.

"Trust me, I watch so much film that my girlfriend gets mad at me," Gronkowski told reporters Wednesday. He added, "Sometimes I go home and she's like, 'You've been gone all day and now you're studying, you've got your iPad out,' and I'm like, 'Yeah, I've gotta get into it. I gotta learn.'"

Gronkowski has looked like his usual dominant self through the first two games of the season. His four receiving touchdowns are tied for the league lead and he's tallied 129 yards on 12 catches.
