The Minnesota Vikings aren't done adding to their secondary.

Minnesota agreed to terms with veteran cornerback Bashaud Breeland on Friday, the team announced.

The deal is worth up to $4 million, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Breeland spent the last two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, playing an important role in the team's Super Bowl LIV title run in 2019. The 29-year-old, who was suspended four games in 2020 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, racked up 38 tackles through 11 games last year.

The Clemson product also amassed nine pass breakups and two interceptions in 2020 while opposing quarterbacks had a 78.3 passer rating when targeting him.

Breeland, a 2014 fourth-round pick, enjoyed his first four NFL seasons on the Washington Football Team and also had a one-year stint with the Green Bay Packers in 2018.

The Vikings heavily addressed their cornerback position this offseason, signing eight-time Pro Bowl corner Patrick Peterson and Mackensie Alexander in free agency. The team also used a fourth-round pick on Camryn Bynum in this year's draft.

Minnesota, which allowed 258.8 passing yards per game in 2020, also drafted cornerbacks Jeff Gladney and Cameron Dantzler in the first and third rounds in 2020, respectively.

The club recently traded 2018 first-round corner Mike Hughes to the Chiefs.
