Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the New England Patriots due to an ankle injury, the team announced Friday.

Jeffery suffered the injury before Philadelphia's bye week but was unable to suit up for any practices since then.

The Eagles will also be without linebacker Nigel Bradham, who is dealing with an ankle injury of his own.

Additionally, running back Jordan Howard is questionable with a shoulder ailment, though he was able to practice in a limited capacity on Friday.

Without Jeffery, Philadelphia will be forced to rely on recently re-signed receiver Jordan Matthews and rookie J.J. Arcega-Whiteside.

Fellow wideout DeSean Jackson is sidelined for the rest of the regular season after being placed on injured reserve last week.

Jeffery - who also missed Week 3 with a calf injury - is on pace for his worst statistical season since his 2012 rookie year. The 29-year-old has 34 catches for 353 and three touchdowns in eight games of the 2019 campaign.
