Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan limped to the locker room and was ruled out with an ankle injury Sunday after being sacked hard by Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth quarter.

Ryan was seen wearing a walking boot after the game and is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, who adds the Falcons do not believe the injury is serious.

The former MVP was sacked five times by the Rams, who were blowing out the reeling Falcons in Atlanta.

Ryan went 16-for-27 for 159 yards and an interception before exiting. He was replaced by veteran Matt Schaub.
