The Houston Texans have offered the Miami Dolphins star pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney and a first-round pick in their continued pursuit of left tackle Laremy Tunsil, Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald reports, citing sources.

Houston's offer has yet to entice the Dolphins, however, as Jackson adds Miami wants another high draft pick included in the deal.

"There's no trade in place for him," Miami head coach Brian Flores said of Tunsil following his team's preseason game Thursday, according to Safid Deen of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Trade talks surrounding Clowney have picked up with the regular season approaching. The three-time Pro Bowler has yet to sign the $15.9-million franchise tag he received heading into the offseason, and the deadline to replace the one-year tender with a long-term extension passed in July.

Miami is one of several teams linked to Clowney in recent days, with the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, and Washington Redskins also reportedly discussing a deal with the Texans.

One of the league's most promising young pass-protectors, Tunsil would provide a significant upgrade to the Texans' offensive line, which remains a glaring concern heading into the 2019 campaign.

Miami evidently has a high price tag on its former first-round selection, though, and it appears any decision to move Tunsil could result in some issues in the locker room. A report from Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald indicated Tuesday that Dolphins players would "legit revolt" if Tunsil was traded for Clowney, with a source adding "the backlash would be amazing."

Tunsil, selected No. 13 overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, is under team control through 2020.

Clowney, meanwhile, figures to be in line for a lucrative contract extension after playing out the 2019 season on the franchise tag. The former No. 1 overall pick has enjoyed stretches of dominance after getting past some early career injury issues, tallying 18.5 sacks over the last two seasons.
