Report: Cardinals work out Crabtree but no signing imminent
The Arizona Cardinals worked out Michael Crabtree on Monday but have no immediate plans to sign the veteran receiver, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported late Monday.
While an earlier report from Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams stated that Crabtree had signed with Arizona, the two sides could not agree to terms despite the team extending an offer, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The 31-year-old wideout was released from the Baltimore Ravens in February, just one season into his three-year contract.
Crabtree ranked second among Ravens in receptions (54), third in receiving yards (607), and tied for second in touchdown catches (three) in 2018. His production dropped after rookie Lamar Jackson took over as starting quarterback in Week 11. Crabtree didn't top three receptions or 38 yards in a game from that point onward.
The San Francisco 49ers selected Crabtree 10th overall in the 2009 draft. He spent six years with the club before signing with the Oakland Raiders, with whom he played three seasons.
Arizona's receiving corps is currently led by Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk, along with Kevin White and rookies Andy Isabella, KeeSean Johnson, and Hakeem Butler.
