Report: McKenzie out in 2019, Raiders to overhaul front office

General manager Reggie McKenzie won't return to the Oakland Raiders in 2019 as part of a larger offseason overhaul of the front office, sources told CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.

The expected changes are reportedly spurred by head coach Jon Gruden's frustrations with the team's recent drafting and current talent base. Members of the scouting and football operations staff are also expected to be exchanged.

Gruden is believed have total control of the roster but is expected to work with owner Mark Davis to bring in top candidates to help with roster retooling roster and drafting, La Canfora adds.

The Raiders own three first-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft including their own, which could end up as the No. 1 selection. They're also projected to have over $81 million in cap space for 2019, according to Over The Cap; only four teams are expected to have more.

Oakland hired Gruden on a reported 10-year, $100-million contract in January.
