The Buffalo Bills released wide receivers Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes on Tuesday, the team confirmed.

Buffalo acquired Benjamin in an October 2017 trade with the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a 2018 third-round pick. Benjamin failed to produce as expected, however, recording 23 catches for 354 yards and a touchdown in 12 games this year.

Holmes signed a three-year contract with the Bills in March 2017 but also failed to produce during his two seasons, catching 12 passes for 157 yards and no touchdowns in 2018.

In a corresponding move, the Bills promoted cornerback Denzel Rice and defensive end Mike Love from the practice squad to the active roster.
